Speech and Language Therapy
We have two Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) that are based at the school one day each week. Therapists work alongside teachers and class teams to support pupils develop effective communication strategies. They will support pupils to develop their use of communication systems such as PECs, iPads and AAC devices as well as Makaton and expressive communication strategies. Therapists set individual targets based on EHC Outcomes and will work with teachers to develop strategies to support pupils achieve those outcomes. Targets are reviewed and updated on a termly basis.
